They make me cry, they break through my normal misanthropic outlook and show truth in its starkest form. Their wisdom is rare. Too rare. Way too rare to save us is what my morose neurochemistry tells me. But if hope can be found anywhere it is here.
Paradoxically, it is the quality of the documentary that adds to its power. It impressed me as decidedly average, the visuals, the editing don’t seem to add much, if anything to the viewing experience. Which leaves the ladies and what they say, the way they say it, as the only ingredient to explain my emotional reaction.
